Water Pocket is a money-tracking app. My idea is to create an app that is not only aesthetic but also has great functions. It is a self-motivated project that is based on my personal needs. Most people have their own spending habit, and it is easy to overspend money even if nowadays we can check our account statement everyday. From my experience, we tend to spend our money in certain brands and places. So if we can track on our spending patterns, we can clearly know how to control our budgets.
Here is my approach: each level indicates a certain amount of money, when the wave reaches to full that means the person has spent beyond his/her limitation. The reason of using wave as a design element is to show the amount of money we spend. Also, according to the result of my survey, people usually have stronger feeling toward graphics than numbers.
